Collective Worship

We provide a daily act of collective worship which is welcoming and inclusive, providing opportunities and learning for children of all faiths as well as those of no faith. Worship lies at the heart of Christian life and at the heart of our school community. This reflects the traditions and values of this country which are broadly Christian but, most importantly, are welcoming and inclusive to all. At Radnage Church of England VA School this takes the form of many exciting and spiritually developing experiences for all the children. Collective Worship is planned to make links to our school's core Christian Values. Children are encourage to plan, lead and evaluate worship throughout the year, with children regularly leading prayers, meeting with Mr Browne and governors to evaluate worship and joining in with acting out Bible stories. Our Worship Leaders are responsible for setting the space for worship to take place in and organising and participating in key events.

We believe that the outcomes of Collective Worship should be:
  • Social experience
  • Awareness
  • Spiritual experience
  • Development of Skills
  • Development of Knowledge
  • Confidence

Every child is invited to take part in Collective Worship and develop spiritual reflection.

Collective Worship is lead by all teachers, children, Foundation Governors, clergy and other visitors to the school. This enriches the worship experience for the whole school community.

The Coordinator for Collective Worship is Sam Browne.
